What is Calculator4You?
Calculator4You is a collection of free calculators built for people in India. We cover finance (loans, tax, savings and salary — EMI, income tax, GST, SIP, PPF and more) health and fitness (BMI, calories, pregnancy, nutrition and more) and math (basic and scientific calculators, percentages, fractions, statistics and geometry) — and explain how each calculation works in plain language.
Many popular calculator sites are built for the US market. Indian rules — the New and Old tax regimes, GST slabs, PPF and EPF norms, HRA metro cities, Asian BMI cut-offs — are different and change often. We keep those values in one place and update them when the rules change.
How we keep the numbers right
- Every formula is written as a small, independently tested function, checked against published reference values.
- Tax slabs, GST rates, PPF rate, gratuity limit and other rules are stored in configuration, not hard-coded, and reviewed after every Budget, GST Council meeting and PPF rate notification.
- Each calculator page shows when its rules were last reviewed and explains the formula used.
